party

He will never remember his party, nor will he ever have any idea what all the fuss was about, but Brady still enjoyed every minute of his big day. He did not stop moving. He loved the slide, had no interest in the cupcakes, and tried his very best to keep up with all the big kids. Happy Birthday to my little fishy! xoxo

We ate "seaweed salad", "peanut butter and jellyfish, "kelp (veggie) straws" and more!
"Ocean Water" and "Sea Juice (lemonade)
Uncle Corbin drove all the way from LA to join in the festivities (with a new pair of baby Toms in hand).

one

Brady turned one. I can hardly believe how fast this last year flew by. His brithday fell on a Sunday which was great because he was surrounded by family and friends and showered with love all day!
Pre-church birthday photo shoot.
First experience with cake and he wanted nothing to do with it. Worked out great for us since it was from Draegars so we all happily helped him polish it off!

101.7 miles

We joined a group of about 20 riders in our neighboring ward for the 3rd Annual Heritage Oaks Century Ride. Originally, the girls and I were going to ride the first 50 miles, which ended at the Golden Gate Bridge, and then take the train home. A few days before the ride though we looked at the "alleged" course map. Since it showed only 3500 ft. of elevation for the whole ride we thought we could do it. However, after a wreck, two flat tires, getting separated from the group and getting lost in the city, I think we were all second guessing ourselves at one point or the other. We rode through sand, rain, fog, sun and ended up climbing over 7000 ft. It took us a painful 9.5 hours to finish with all the stops, but it definitely feels awesome to have accomplished a full century, plus an extra 1.7 miles for good measure:)

The halfway point at the Golden Gate Bridge. Steph, Jary, Kristy, Chris, Heather, Christian & Doug!
We were exhausted. Christian was asleep by 7:30pm and he would've slept there all night if I didn't wake him (farmer's tan and all).
