For my birthday yesterday Christian went all out. Although we had two shows and had to work until late he made the day extra special! Definitely not a repeat from last year!!:)

If it's not broke...don't fix it. It's hard to tell, but the new shoes are identical to my old ones!

I really wanted some cake so we were about to go to the Cafe to pick some up. Christian really wanted to clean the room though before we left. He was really just trying to stall because he'd already ordered one to be delivered to the room!!

The day I left LA I met up with Jenna in Irvine for a quick breakfast and then went straight to downtown to meet all the Dads for an early Father's Day brunch. We ate at a delicious Asian-fusian restaurant and all my grandpa's were able to make it to celebrate!

Home Sweet Home!

I was able to come home for one cruise to go to Corbin's graduation! Christian, being the great husband he is, stayed on board to hold down the fort while I left. While on the open seas I've missed many things I never would've thought about before leaving...such as...

Swine Flu...on the bright side

Since the Swine Flu outbreak all cruise ships calling in Mexico ports have been rerouted. For the last 8 weeks instead of going to Cozumel on Saturday we went to the Bahamas on Sunday! Which meant...Church!!! After trying to walk (it was much farther than we thought), getting on wrong buses, following bad maps, etc...we finally made it! It never ceases to amaze me how you can be thousands of miles away, in a different country, surrounded by different nationalities, and still feel like you are haven't left home while at church! What a blessing it's been to have the opportunity to attend Church even if it was only for a few weeks!

While my grandparents were here we had just enough time to take the air boat everglades tour and see the alligators. We finished off the day with some fried gator nuggets...tastes like chicken:)

Nate & Jaime took a break from their crazy and busy schedules to come visit...and the cruise thing may have had something to do with it. So much fun, but definitely not enough time! Fortunately, we had one full day off to pretend we were on vacation with them!

Christian and Grandpa went deep sea fishing in Half Moon Cay. The tour guides have a good gig. Tourists pay to fish and since it is catch & release the captain takes the fish and sells it to the locals!

Half Moon Cay--no shopping so we got the whole day off to spend at the beach!

Back in the days when I had a real job there was one girl that helped me keep my sanity at Ernst & Young LA--Jessie! Jessie and her cute mom Liz came to cruies with us last week. Fortunately, we were able to squeeze in some time for swimming, golf, and of course food!

Who needs the Easter Bunny when there is a 90% off sale at CVS? If you live in Miami don't bother trying to cash in on the sweet deal because we may have bought every bag they had. The stash includes:

11 bags of jelly beans
3 bags of M&Ms

2 (smashed) marshmallow cream eggs

= $2.43

Then the Candy Shop girl on the ship gave us a 5 pound bag of sour gummy bears! Woo-hoo

We may live in a tiny dorm-like room, but we do get to pick out and wear "display" jewelery. I never used to wear more than my wedding ring, but I've quickly grown accustomed to the fancy pieces!
