It's Official!!!

Christian completely surprised me this weekend with a little gift that came in a small wooden box! After a disastrous night which included missing our dinner reservations because of subway problems and missing our broadway show because I wrote down the wrong date...Christian "popped the question" under the Rockefeller Tree. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Turkey Day in the City!

Christian came into town for the holiday! We celebrated in true NYC tourist style...starting with the Macy's Day parade and finishing with the Rockettes!

Even though we were across the country from our own families, we were still able to celebrate the holiday with lots of friends (basically family) and a table full of DELICIOUS food. We joined Rachael and her family for dinner at Park Avenue Autumn and dined on the best food I've had in a very, very long time.

Party Like It's 1999!

Bruso turns the big 24 today, but fortunately we celebrated this past weekend because I'm now working in the lovely city of Pawtucket, RI.

Bruso received all the standard "24 year old female-living in NYC" gifts: Salsa, In-line skates, and a sugar-free b-day cake!

We all attended a Salsa class in Soho. I think Mo (Rach's bro. who was visiting from upstate NY) was the only one who could actually move his hips.

The day continued with dinner at Mercer Kitchen. The highlight of the night was definitely a cake Rach special ordered from Baby Cakes on the East side. I'm still not quite sure what it's made out of, since it's like sugar-free, gluten-free, etc, but it was AMAZING and believe it or not puts Magnolia cupcakes to shame!!!BB

Another celebrity?

Since being in NY I've had multiple people tell that watching NY Marathon is a must do. Who knew watching people run could actually be exciting? Despite the long train ride, I decided to heed to their advice. It truly was unbelievable/slightly depressing. Everyone I saw was at least 20 years older than me and finishing under 3hrs. As I stood there eating the free Dunkin Donuts and watching people run I saw Lance Armstrong and some serious British pride cross the finish line!
