My little Valentine

I couldn't be happier to hang out with this guy all V-day while we waited for dad to get home. I think he had more going on for Valentine's Day than Christian and I. The day before V-day he went to his first Valentine's Day party which was adorable! He "fished" for prizes and brought a box for a valentine exchange. Brady gave all his friends bubbles. Then we went to a Valentine's dinner at the Hansen's and he gave away rice crispy treats! So fun!
The best picture I could get with my phone's camera ...there was lots more kids, but by the time I got my phone out they had vanished already.Brady went fishing and caught some beach toys which will be perfect for our vacations coming up!

The card says, "I love you so much I could snap, crackle, pop!
"I love you so much I could pop" (attached to bubbles) All the valentines before the kids filled up each other's boxes!

On the move

When I say on the move I'm referring to both of us. Everyday Brady finds something new that we need to "baby proof". At 6 months he started doing the army crawl and scooting around. Then, just 2 short weeks later, he discovered his knees and starting getting up on all fours. Then, the day he turned 7 months, working on some stuff in the kitchen while he was playing on the floor. I turned around and saw that he had pulled himself up so he was standing and holding onto a footstool. I didn't know if I should grab him before he fell or the camera...I reached for the camera and fortunately he stayed up long enough for me to snap a picture! That same exact day he was standing on the first step of our stairs. I grabbed my phone just in case he decided to try any new tricks. Sure enough, he crawled up 3 stairs (without me touching him) before I pulled him down because I didn't want him getting too much practice:) I guess I better enjoy my last few months (or days) before he starts walking!

Table Makeover

Last night Christian said, "since you've been re-doing the table I guess you haven't had much time to blog". I'm pretty sure that was his way of kindly saying a post is well overdue since Brady had been growing and learning new things by the day!
In regards to the table...we were given a table from family friend's of Christian. It came with 3 leaves and more chairs than we know what to do with. It had been it their family for over 20 years so it was definitely "used", but it did the job so we were happy to have it!
I never really liked it from the beginning so a few weeks ago I tried taking a can of black spray paint to one of the chairs to see how it looked. I then roughed it up with some sand paper, put a couple coats of polyurethane, and voila...I loved it! So after many more cans of spray paint and spending most of Brady's naps for about a week working on it...we have a "new" table!
